This Christmas

LiveWell Pathway • Dec 17, 2021

As we come to the end of another year in the midst of a pandemic, we want to take a moment to thank all our wonderful clients for navigating through this difficult time with us, for trusting in us and for allowing us to share in the care and welfare of you and your precious loved ones. Now, more than ever before, we understand the need and the importance of taking care of our most vulnerable.

As we reflect back on another challenging year, we want to wish you and all your loved ones a healthy and happy holiday season, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Celebrate Life

This Christmas it’s more important than ever to celebrate the positive, especially with our senior parents and loved ones. While we gather together with family over the holidays, safely, let’s focus on celebrating the life and experiences our elders have had and the joys of the many Christmases past. We’re all feeling more vulnerable and stressed these days, and this is especially true for seniors. So keep the conversations positive, joyful and non-pandemic related this holiday season. We can all use a smile and a laugh.

Appreciate Your Loved Ones

Let’s also make sure to appreciate all of our loved ones this Christmas. Not just our parents but also our family and friends that are helping us through these difficult times. And especially those who are caregivers to our loved ones. This can be a challenging role for many and it’s so important to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts and sacrifices they make to ensure our loved ones are cared for.

Gratitude

And finally, let’s all be grateful for another year passed. Grateful for our family. Grateful for our friends. Grateful for being able to gather together again. Although we are not out of the woods yet and the news changes daily, we can still find joy in life and in each other.

What are you grateful for this holiday season?

Aging can sneak up on us. While in our minds we are still young and spry, our bodies sometimes tell us a different story. And after age 65, one of the most common signs of aging we notice is that we become a little less steady on our feet.
